BioI have just finished a degree in French and German at St. Hugh's College, Oxford (yes, The Oxford, someone has to go there), which I loved and adored. As part of that, I spent a year living in Strasbourg, in Eastern France, which was fantastic even though it was sort of really crap too. After having sworn I would never live in London, I now find myself doing just that, as I'm doing a Primary PGCE with French (teaching training, basically) at the University of Greenwich. I'm quite a way out of London, so it's not quite so bad, but I still wonder how I got here. It's actually quite a long and convoluted story - check out entries tagged 'the plan' for a potted history.
I have no particular pet peeves, except that I think people in England should slow down and chill out, and people everywhere should smile more. I love music, and feel that my life would be empty without it. I own a pink ipod mini, and lots and lots of CDs. And even more books. One day I will make a big list of them all.
I have been told that my life resembles a soap opera and is thus quite entertaining in a train-wreck fashion. I make no guarantees, but can occasionally see why you'd think this.
